Connecting Devices

‘No’ wireless connection in your room?

Try rebooting the computer or device.  This may resolve the problem.

Some devices conserve battery life by running lower output on the wireless device.

Nyack is doing a long-term project to replace the current wireless with a more dense coverage pattern.  We hope to see this project completed by 2017.

Student devices can also experience wireless problems because of corrupt operating systems and virus infections.  Please verify that your computer is running a current antivirus program and scan your device for infections.

Please include the following:

  1. Name and/or Student ID#
  2. The exact problem you are having (is this a re-occurring issue or is this the first time you have noticed the problem?)
  3. Dorm Name and Room Number
  4. Two different times and dates where you will be available in the room to trouble-shoot the issue on your computer/device.
