Turabian and Chicago Style

The Chicago Manual of Style is the most widely adopted style manual for publishing across all disciplines. Turabian, a “daughter” format and style guide, is most frequently used for academic research. Turabian is the recommended style for the music department and Alliance Theological Seminary.

Note: Both Chicago and Turabian include two citation style options:  Note/Bibliography (used often in the humanities) and Author/Date (used in the sciences and social sciences).  Check with your professors to verify whether they have a preference between these two options.

The tools below will teach you how to apply the Chicago/Turabian style to your papers.
